The primary aim of the Social Studies department is to help students understand themselves and others in the world around them.

Goals:
The Social Studies department goals include:
• Helping the students develop the ability to make knowledgeable decisions about our society in relationship to the past and present.
• Integrating knowledge, skills and attitudes that will enhance our cultural heritage and good citizenship.
• Turning students into lifelong learners by introducing them to research skills, skills of presentation, social skills and problem solving skills.
